The BioSyft behavior apparatus is a stand-alone box that’s standardized yet customizable. A linear plexiglass track is the observation chamber, with each end allowing customizable inserts for your behavioral needs.
Efficient and affordable behavioral video
The track is fitted with a 45° mirror underneath the clear plexiglass floor, allowing for a simultaneous dual-view of the bottom and side of animal. High resolution video is recorded through a single camera at over 100 frames-per-second and high resolution.
Software Analysis
Subject Tracking
Customized machine learning computer vision algorithm identifies key points of interest on the mouse across video frames used for analysis.
Behavior Classification
Tracked points are assessed with our automated classification algorithm to label instances of standard behaviors such as “walking”, “rearing”, and “grooming”.
Behavior Kinematic Quantification
Within each behavior, we calculate metrics between points to quantify finely modified behavior (e.g. stride, gait, movement speed).
